A simple, honest place to stop in — high above Lake Thun, in a mountain village with good hiking trails right outside the door. We don’t do a big menu. We do small, freshly prepared dishes at prices that fit the village.
Opening hours
- Wednesday to Friday — 12.00 to 18.00 · self-service
- Saturday and Sunday — 11.00 to 18.00 · with table service
- Monday and Tuesday — closed
When the weather is good, you sit on the terrace — with a direct view of Lake Thun and the Bernese Alps. In winter, in the warm dining room.
What we serve
Many regulars know this house under the name Läbeshuus — our kitchen stays true to the spirit of that place.
Small, simple dishes with products from the region. Home-made. No long menu — we want to do well what reaches the table. If you arrive hungry from a hike, you’ll find an honest break with us: coffee, cake, a soup, an open sandwich, something from the day.
Themed evenings — soon
In the coming months we’ll be starting themed evenings: pizza, burgers, BBQ. By reservation, so we know how many people to expect — and don’t have to throw anything away. We’ll post dates on News.
